Proving once again that a wedding celebration can be anything you want it to be, this intimate backyard ceremony and celebration in Dallas is as special as they come!
Sunny Afternoon to Evening Light
Held in the backyard of the couple’s home, this celebration was cozy and personal. The beautiful deck and modern patio and fire pit made it a welcoming backdrop for their special occasion. Once the sun dipped low in the sky, strings of sparkling white cafe lights strung through the trees twinkled overhead.
Vows Au Naturel
Simple white draperies and cascading greenery transforms the deck into a beautiful ceremonial space. Rustic wood farm tables are set out on the lawn, surrounded by Mid-Century Eames chairs. The minimalist furniture has a light and airy feel and leaves lots of room for guests to mingle.
Rustic and Refined
The Bride’s and Groom’s cake are perfectly displayed on another rustic wood table. White draped fabric and greenery create a picturesque backdrop. There is nothing ostentatious here, but it’s ever-so-delightful and the toasting flutes stand ready, along with coffee urns, cups and saucers, for the cake ceremony.
Moody Blues
By choosing an elegant deep blue BBJ linen for table covering, runners and napkins, this couple elevated their celebration to new heights of style. The solid simplicity reinforces the natural theme, yet adds charming urbanity to the backyard scene.

The Mix Matters
Rustic wood, stylish seating, simple china, flatware and crystal; it’s all so tailored and refined. And then there’s an exuberant mix of colorful blooms to add a “polished” note and lift the setting out of the realm of the ordinary!
Cocktail Service
The cocktail bar is highlighted only by a simple air plant, a cutting board and a display of lemons and limes. But custom bartending service was a big hit with guests — something to remember for any special celebration.
The Advantage of Nature
Simple and understated, potted succulents atop a polished wood stump create a cozy gathering spot next to the fire pit. By using simple greenery elsewhere and limiting flowers to tabletop display and the bridal bouquet, the natural setting remains the focus of attention.
Capitalize on the Setting
A fire pit and s’mores are not standard wedding reception fare, but at this celebration it’s a given that nothing will be ordinary. All the proper fixin’s — including graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolates and the toasting sticks — are at the ready, artfully displayed on a square dessert table covered with navy linen. What could be more fun?
The Perfect Party
When hosting a party at home — even a wedding celebration — the design is limited only by your heart and your imagination. We think this backyard event in Dallas proves that point perfectly!
