When you’re planning the decorations for your events, one detail that is sometimes overlooked is the chairs. Many people think that because the tables are done up, the chairs can stand on their own, and while that’s sometimes true, it’s undeniable that dressed up chairs look much more elegant.
Let’s check out four different ways to dress up event chairs extra special.
Ethereal Ivory Draping

This event mixes rustic elements with light and airy touches. The farm table adds a hard edge, which is balanced with a natural floral runner. The chair décor is a perfect complement, with soft ivory chiffon draped over the dark chairs for contrast. The rhinestone accessory on every chair adds a sparkling ethereal touch.

The light chiffon on the dark chairs picks up the colors from the wood of the tables lightening the look, both in mood and in color. We love the way the ivory fabric flows, reminding us of a woodsy ceremony, or an uber romantic ballroom occasion. Here, Mercury Sequin runners, Cameo Shantung napkins, and Silver Monarch Mini-Buckles are used with the Ivory Chiffon chair tie.

The bright Red Lamour table linen is contrasted by Navy Lamour chair ties and Navy Lamour napkins giving us a New England beachy feel. The chair tie is quick to put on, and achieves a dramatic effect. This look is perfect for summertime, a patriotic themed event or, as shown here, one that’s hosted at a sports arena or stadium.

Elegant and Extravagant Rosettes

For a magical and beautiful look, choose rosettes. Placed on the backs of the chairs, they accent a solid-colored, simple table linen with a luminous, airy look. These chair backs are a very detailed piece of accent décor, and they’re an easy way to liven up a table look. Best of all, they’re perfect for events held year-round.

Color Coordinated Chair Pads

Finally, for high impact that’s easy: use colored chair pads to enhance your event accent colors. Pictured here with our White Lamour table linen anyone can see the bright and cheery element this pop adds. What’s best, the bright shades can work as a placeholder or table numbering system—people can find their table based on the color of the chair pads. Here, you see Yellow Lamour Elastic chair pad covers, Lime Lamour Elastic chair pad covers, and Turquoise Lamour Elastic chair pad covers. This picture shows a lively baby shower, but we see this working at just about any event. Coordinate the yellow, lime, and turquoise chair pads with Yellow Lamour Runners, Lime Lamour Runners, and Turquoise Lamour Runners, as well as Yellow Lamour napkins, Lime Lamour napkins, and Turquoise Lamour napkins.
