A ceremonial tent draped with flowing white curtains and cushions serves as a stunning backdrop. Rightly so, the red and gold cultured wedding finery of the bride and groom is where all eyes should be focused. Red turbans, color-drenched scarves, white and gold, and beautiful woven textiles are only enhanced by the restrained, but elegant backdrop. A wealth of traditional symbols speaks to the intricate melding of cultures and lives in this beautiful outdoor setting.

Transitioning indoors for a celebratory meal, Jenn from Imoni Events played on the theme of white flowers – lush table linen from BBJ reminds the guests of the outdoor canopy of blooms. The addition of vibrant color adds excitement to the space transition.

The elegance of the occasion is unmistakable. Gold-toned bamboo chairs and gold chargers, royal purple napkins and the sparkle of crystal complement the signature orchids. The addition of a few red blooms is a playful touch, recalling not only ceremonial finery, but also traditional hand tattoos and the lush upholstered wedding divan.

Restraint Meets Opulence

The contrast between indoors and outside is one of degree. The designer succeeded in balancing the majesty of the expansive outdoor setting with restraint, but reversed the theme for the banquet, with concentrated color contained in a neutral shell. Tall arrangements recall the look of the line of majestic palms.

Gold is used to unify both venues, running as a constant theme from one setting to the other. Elegance is underscored outside with golden columns, swaying bejeweled chimes and perfectly placed golden accents under the filmy tent. At each table setting, gold reappears in napkin clasps and whimsical, delightful place card holders.
