SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing strategy in a manner that supports consistent and measurable business growth. This individual will “sit at the sales and marketing management team table” to assist in the formulation and execution of the company’s strategic direction, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, training and managing all marketing functions to achieve BBJ La Tavola’s objectives for sales, growth, profitability, and visibility; in alignment with the company’s strategic direction.
RESPONISBILITIES
- Serve as a key and active member of the management team. Provide leadership for the development of strategic marketing plans including objectives and strategy for targeted markets
- Contribute to efforts with product and business development to define an overall product portfolio strategy that will drive the long-term growth of the organization.
- Collaborate with the design team to help with the process of the continuous evaluation of trends and help adjust strategy to capitalize on shifts in the marketplace; including the process of obtaining and disseminating competitive intelligence across all markets and product lines
- Ensures accurate articulation of the BBJ La Tavola’s brand image and position throughout the market area and throughout the organization. Assures consistent communication to both internal and external members, including strategy and development of collateral design, merchandising, campaigns, communication management, and advertising messaging
- Increase brand awareness and reach across multiple platforms (developing weekly content and campaign content, write (or guide the team in writing) our own blogs, content for other Industry publications, and every piece of communication from BBJ La Tavola to the customer
- Develop marketing and sales promotion programs and direct team in developing promotional material including managing website, social media, video, collaterals, etc.
- Manages and reports marketing initiatives to ensure successful implementation of campaigns that meet return on investment (ROI) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) expectations. Collaborate with sales team to define effective sales channels of all products and establish effective relationship with the sales force for leadership, training, pricing, and positioning expertise
- Responsible for the overall management of the marketing team providing coaching, leadership and assistance with resources and strategy development
- Attend conferences, meetings, conventions, in order to stay current on market trends and new research
- Undergo internal product training
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree/MBA preferred
- 10-15 years of experience in corporate, division or business unit marketing or related experience
- 5-7 years of leadership experience in product or portfolio marketing management
- Proficiency with HubSpot
- Experience in leading and managing professionals
- Strong business analytics experience
- Experience with content development and writing
- Experience developing go-to-market messaging and positioning for services/solutions
- Experience developing and executing successful marketing and sales enablement strategies
- Experience conducting competitive analysis and industry mapping
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and follow through on all marketing plan tactics
- Must be proficient in using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details to meet deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates
- Ability to navigate and collaborate across multiple brands
- Ability to work fast under pressure and deliver results
