SUMMARY
The responsibilities of the Design Consultant include evaluating client needs, help selecting color schemes, styles, themes, and layouts to bring the approved design to life. Help develop samples, creating aesthetically pleasing designs. Acting liaison between internal customers, vendors, and in-house fabrication department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Sales team that includes putting ID codes together, pricing custom orders, and any follow-up necessary to above
- Assist in showroom and virtual meetings as custom support for design, creation, sourcing, and development needs
- Organize and maintain custom showroom
- Manage needs, updates, and partnerships with vendors
REQUIREMENTS
- Working with vendors
- Problem solving skills
- Must be solution oriented to support product and design needs to clients nationwide
- Textile knowledge a plus
- Experience with PO processing and receiving
- Requires friendly, professional etiquette and courtesy in interfacing with customers on the telephone
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
- Must possess and professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Requires attention to accurate detail and must be able to multitask
- Ability to analyze situations and make decisions in a timely manner
- Excellent documentation and recordkeeping abilities
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Knowledge of Word and Outlook
- Experience working in the Event or Hospitality industries a plus
