Shimmering blue echoes the Chesapeake Bay waters lapping just outside the windows as designers gather to be inspired at a February Intrigued Experience Conference for leading wedding industry designers.
Guided by the leaders of the wedding industry, Intrigued Experience is a conference infused with floral design, styling and business education. This unique three-day floral conference offers daily hands-on design time, classroom learning, and endless inspiration. Set in an environment that caters to the attendees every need, the days include in-depth hands on design, decadent décor and surprises around every corner.
The Sea as Inspiration
The theme is the sea, and it appears ever so gently with only the palest of blues to complement white linen and minimal place settings. It’s an airy scheme, highlighted by silver urns filled with bleached driftwood and wispy seagrass.
Accentuate the Positive
The Intrigued Experience attendees vary in floral and design skill level and that’s what makes it so unique. Beginners, and experts comingle together to learn, grow and nurture one another.
Punctuation for this impressive white scheme is provided by dusky forms of bamboo chairs, with the room’s single focal point provided by a seating group of deeper blue velvet set on polished wooden floors.
Pattern Speaks Softly
A few strategically placed round tables draped in tone-on-tone ice blue linen add decorative counterpoint to the intersecting banquet tables and reinforce the subtle pale blue accents in glassware and in the floral selection. White rose bouquets nestle amid trailing vines of greenery in this gloriously understated setting.

Pastels Reign Supreme
White is once again the choice for linen, but the floral selection of pale pastels inspires a stunning choice of china in barely there blue-violet. Each layered place setting adds just the right note of magic and a full measure of beauty to the tabletop.
Signaling Style
Nothing speaks nautical like vibrant blue and white, with stripes stretched in perfect precision along banquet tables. Here the theme is played up with lunch baskets and golden goblets, and the playful spirit gets a boost from netted driftwood and shells and a variety of grey-green succulents.
Heart of the Flower
Look closely enough even at white flowers and you’re apt to discover a heart of gold. That’s what the designer did here — finding the perfect accent color for a mostly white scheme. The beautifully rich tone adds elegance and speaks of formal occasions.

Based in Blue
Another day at the conference — and a change of pace. Here, edgy table linen in blue velvet makes a strong statement! Still pale, it adds a strong presence, bolstered by the creamy white tones of oversize floral centerpieces and sturdy upholstered chairs. It’s formal done right for a seaside celebration — trendy and exciting.
Awash in Texture
A table round dressed in beautiful Moda linen complements the adjacent banquet tables’ blue mood perfectly, proving once again that there are many paths to beauty. The same napkins, china, glassware, showy floral arrangements and substantial chairs work equally well!
