2017 Wedding Trends

Happy 2017! The new year is in full swing. The holiday season usually bring lots of engagements and new brides looking for fresh wedding inspiration. We believe that the 2017 wedding trends are going to be some of the best yet! With exciting styles coming in and old traditions still lingering, this years weddings will be dreamy!

More Metallic

Secondary metals of copper, rose gold, brass along with the standard of gold and platinum remain popular. Soft pink, blush, champagne, and ivory will continue to be paired with metallics for the soft romantic looks that are going nowhere. If you’re looking for a more modern take – look to stark white as the complement solid, or lush rich jewel tones.

Use your metals where you want a pop. We suggest the head table, cake table, and entry table. If you drape everything with shine you’ll lose the special effect.

Natural Neutrals

Neutral palettes are still a popular go for the bride looking for a more organic event. This year we will see them paired with interesting hints of color other table top elements like glassware, flatware, and napkins. All beige all the time can make for a dull event. Most brides are looking for zest.

Don’t forget to match your chair pad cover to the table cloth or another color in your pallet. Nothing is more distracting to the design than a white chair pad cover in an all neutral earth tone event.

Mix and Match

Special events follow the runway and home décor. This year we will see more experimenting with pattern mixing. Think stripes with floral, or geometric with damasks. This look is playful and bold, so it won’t be for everyone. Think of this look as a continuation of the bohemian style – bright colors in different fabrics mixed with loose and organic floral.

For the timid, pair a printed napkin on a solid table, and bring your secondary print into cocktail tables. This way your collection isn’t overwhelming to your guests.

Green

Pantone’s color of the year is a bright and lively shade of green. We see this color in all hues for events in 2017. From dark rich colors of pine and evergreen to bright lime and pistachio. Green is the best complement to floral in table décor because it exists in nature.

Use the green most seen outside in your wedding’s season. If your wedding is early spring then a bright punchy green is your best bet – if you’re planning a winter wedding go for a darker shade influenced by evergreen trees.
